At Dovetail Restorations, we're dedicated to helping you restore your furniture and upholstery to its former glory. We do all of our repairs, restoration, and upholstery work in-house and are proud of the high-quality craftsmanship that goes into every piece we restore.

We've been a family owned and operated business for over 30 years, and we're proud to be one of the oldest furniture restoration workshops in Auckland. We work with individuals, businesses, and insurance companies; so no matter what type of job you need done, we're ready to help!

All of our staff are highly-qualified in their fields, with decades of experience between them. Our craftsmen can repair and restore all types of furniture, including wood, stone, marble, leather, cane, rattan and more. Our team is multi-ethnic and multicultural; we speak English, Urdu, Tagalog, Turkish and Spanish.

A key member of our team, Paco is certified with the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC), an internationally accredited standard-setting non-profit organization for the inspection, cleaning, and restoration industries. Paco has trained in the U.S. and they specialise in all types of leather, including traditional finishing as well as modern pigmented leathers.

After gaining a Bachelor's Degree in Textile Design, I worked my way through an upholstery apprenticeship in the marine industry. With a true passion for interiors and the opportunity to work for myself, I set up a workshop based in Te Atatu, Auckland. Our focus on bespoke furniture and homewares, working with you to create a custom design. From chairs to cushions and curtains we are a part of the process each step of the way.

We're not about large production runs or cutting corners. We care about our customers; each piece of furniture is as important to us as it is to you. And we strive to be an ethical company by following sustainable business practices and creating a happy, safe, working environment.

Hi I’m Amy! I specialise in the design and make of cushions, bolsters and squab seating. I work for trade and residential clients or just anyone that fancies a one off cushion.

I have a degree in fashion design and a post graduate certificate in pattern making from Central St Martins in London. This is where my love for working with fabric began, but I pivoted my skills and lent towards interiors, which I just love. I am a one-woman team, and have been running You’re Welcome for 7 years in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, and can easily ship nationwide.
